PERSONAL PROFILE
 
Dr. Liu has been conducting research in time-dependent dynamic behavior of civil engineering materials and structures, and intelligent monitoring since 2004,and he made some innovative achievements on measurement, reinforcement and characterization of damping characteristics for reinforced concrete materials and structures, and on evaluating and monitoring the dynamic and seismic performance of deteriorated RC structures. As a major investigator, he received more than 20 national and provincial research projects during the past 10 years, including 4 General programsfrom National Nature Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He also participated in the Key Program of National Nature Science Foundation, National High-tech R&D Program of China (863 Program) and National Key Basic Research Project of China (973 Program). He is the author/co-author of more than 70 publications (20 more indexed by SCI. Besides, he serves as the peer reviewer for several international journals and is the inventor/co-inventor of 3 national patents in China. He is the recipient of several prizes awarded by Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City Governments, he is a recipient of the "National Science Foundation for Excellent Young Scientists " (2014) and also a scholar of the "New Century Excellent Talents Program of China Education Ministry" (2013). He has supervised 47 graduate students and 1 Ph. D student, with another 2 Ph. D Candidates under supervision currently.
