PERSONAL PROFILE
 
In 2012, I got my PhD degree in Applied Physics at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. During my PhD studies, my research is focused on lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors. Prior to my doctoral studies, I worked in a Japanese lithium-ion battery company as a R&D manager. After graduating from my PhD, I moved to Boston College and then University of Houston as a research associate. The core work was to develop and optimize functional thin film materials—solar solar thermal selective coatings, to improve the efficiency of photothermal conversion. Published more than 20 SCI papers cited more than 1100 times in the prestigious journals, such as Nat. Energy, Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA, Adv. Mater., Energy Environ. Sci., Adv. Energy Mater., J. Am. Chem. Soc, Sol Energy Mater. Sol Cells, etc, and applied and issued 3 US patents.
